EIRTRANS ACHIEVES AEO ACCREDITATION

The gold-standard for customs service We’re delighted to tell you that Eirtrans has achieved AEO accreditation (Authorised Economic Operator). For our customers this new status means easier, more cost-effective and hassle-free customs service – whatever goods you are importing or exporting.AEO Eirtrans The AEO programme, which aims to enhance international supply chain security and to facilitate legitimate trade, is open to all supply chain actors. It covers economic operators authorised for customs simplification (AEOC) and safety (AEOS) – or any combination of the two.” More information about AEO AEO accreditation has been achieved by just 250 other Irish companies. So why aren’t there more? Well, it’s not just because more companies have not applied. Actually they have. It’s just that the task of applying is daunting and time-consuming. And it is very hard to achieve. And then, some companies are put off by the negative effects that losing this status might have on their business. The AEO concept is based on the customs-to-business partnership introduced by the World Customs Organisation (WCO) as part of their SAFE Framework of Standards. All of the WCO members have made a commitment to implement a version of this AEO programme. The UK has developed its own system, in line with the EU version. As you can imagine, these benefits of our AEO certification are also benefits for our customers: Easier admittance to customs simplifications Fewer physical and document-based controls related to security and safety Prior notification in case of selection for customs control Priority treatment if selected for customs controls International recognition as a secure and safe business partner Improved relations with customs and other government authorities Fewer delayed shipments Increased co-operation Mutual recognition with third countries Since the advent of Brexit, many supply chains have been affected by customs-related constraints, causing added costs and delays. Our AEO status is one more guarantee of our benchmark quality of service in helping assure you are not affected by any of these constraints. So give Eirtrans a call to discuss how we can simplify your customs processes – whatever you are importing or exporting: 01- 601 2791 We’d also like to give a shout-out to Best Words for all their help with #copywriting, web development and marketing.

‘The long haul’ – an expression we like

As you’d expect from a road haulage company, we like the expression ‘the long haul’. On one level it’s to do with what we do – move cars by road and sea. But it also refers to lasting business relationships – and these have been our ‘bread and butter’ for a really long time now. the long haul Individual customers, individual needs Some industries allow for a lot of ‘churn’, with customers coming and going and the business providing a quick service. But in our industry, we need to stay in touch with all of our individual customers, keeping up to date with things that are happening in their businesses, so we can, if necessary, tweak our service accordingly. It’s quite easy to come out with phrases which in themselves don’t mean much. Things like ‘we’re dedicated to customer service’ and stuff like that. Who wouldn’t say that? For us, it’s important to show this in action because our success actually depends on it. We want all our customers to be in it for ‘the long haul’. And we’re pleased so many continue to be. It’s what’s sustained us through all the Brexit challenges and I’m confident it will continue to do that through tough times to come. Here’s some comments from a few ‘long haul’ customers: “I have been using Eirtrans for at least 10 years and without a doubt they are the best around. No job is ever a problem.” (Ken Heaphy) “We at Freedom Mobility have been using Eirtrans to bring our cars from the UK for a long time now and wouldn’t look past them.” (Gabriel Hession) “We have been using Eirtrans to bring our cars from the UK for a long time now and wouldn’t look past them.” (Denis Cullinane) “We use Eirtrans on a weekly basis and find them very professional. We look forward to continuing to work with all at Eirtrans.” (Kenneth Moran).

FAMILY ETHOS – THE KEY TO GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE

The family ethos behind the Eirtrans brand continues to work very well for us. Founded as we were by two neighbouring families, we still continue to work on the basis that things can always be done better. That’s what we set out to prove, and although we have met with great success, we know that this success is a journey, not a destination – and that this journey will always be powered by a commitment to the highest standards of customer care. Sometimes understandably, this focus is often more of a challenge for the larger transportation companies. When we break down what we actually mean by ‘customer care’ it comes down to these key pillars: Accurate, reliable quoting Seeing things from the customer’s perspective Faster turnarounds Highly trained staff State of the art equipment and facilities Accurate, reliable quoting We aim to be as flexible as possible when it comes to quoting on jobs, providing accurate and precise quotes. A quote tailored to your exact and specific requirements is your best guarantee of value for money. Seeing things from the customer’s perspective Our firm’s family ethos allows us to see our service from your perspective, enabling us to deliver quality through regular communication with you at every step. That’s the secret of achieving maximum efficiency. Faster turnarounds We fully appreciate how much of your profitability depends on fast sales, which is why Eirtrans provides the fastest turnarounds anywhere in Ireland. Highly trained staff Recruiting drivers is never easy, and more so now than ever. Despite this, our approach to recruiting is painstaking. Personal qualities are as important as up to date credentials and road safety knowledge. State of the art equipment and facilities We put time and effort into ensuring that our storage facilities in Dublin and Crewe UK are as secure as they can ever be. We also have 24/7 surveillance and space for over 300 cars. As is only too evident today, words can be cheap. It’s actions that count. Our many satisfied customers readily attest to our fast, efficient car transportation service for Ireland and the UK. Call Eirtrans today for a quote.
